If you’ve noticed my blog silence lately, I promise I have a good reason. I’m so excited to share with you the rebrand I’ve been working on for this blog and my new Etsy shop!
I started this blog in college as a creative outlet to explore my passion for fashion. I wanted to create a resource that covered everything from personal style to larger industry issues. At the time, it was exactly what I needed as I navigated from school to career.
After graduating and trading in homework for free time, I fell in love with art all over again. I didn’t realize how much I missed drawing and painting until I rediscovered them. I have enjoyed selling my handmade jewelry and scarves on Etsy during the last year, but creating art is what really lights a spark in me. Over the past couple of months, I’ve slowly transitioned from selling accessories to selling my paintings and art prints. It’s been a bittersweet transition, but sometimes change is necessary for us to grow. I am stoked to be sharing my artwork with you all and excited to see what the future holds!
Why the new name?
Ultimately, I want my personal brand to reflect who I am and what I’m about. I still love fashion, but I cannot deny the artist in me. Therefore, switching my business name from A Different Fashion to Maria Ahrens felt appropriate. You’ll be seeing some of the same fashion content as before, but also some fresh new topics and artwork!
Because of the name change, if you follow me via feed reader or Etsy, you’ll need to follow my new accounts here:
- Follow me with a feed reader: http://mariaahrens.com/feed
- Follow me or my shop on Etsy: https://etsy.com/shop/MariaAhrens
The best way to follow is , of course, my email newsletter, because I offer special goodies to my subscribers that you can’t get anywhere else. With the holiday season upon us, I’ve got a coupon code and a free giveaway in store, so stay tuned!
Whether you’ve been with me since the beginning of this project or are just stopping by for the first time, I just want to say thank you. Your comments, emails, and encouragement have made me feel so blessed to know such great people who share my passions and interests. You all are amazing, and I hope you continue to follow along!
